New Cleopatra 33 delivered to Trondheim

Flor√ł brothers Andre and Karl Vikan have taken delivery of a new Cleopatra 33 from Trefjar. Rigged for netting and potting, the new boat has already started fishing.

The brothers fish from Flor√ł near Trondheim in northern Norway, and went to Trefjar in Iceland for their new netter/potter, Vigrunn. In addition to fishing for groundfish and crab, it is expected to be used for fish farm support work in the region.

Vigrunn is a Cleopatra 33, measures 11gt and is fitted with a 410hp FPT C90 main engine powering a ZF V-drive reduction gear. It also has a bow thruster linked to the autopilot to keep it on course when hauling at low speeds.

Simrad supplied the electronics in the wheelhouse. Fishing hardware is from local suppliers and was fitted on arrival in Norway.

Vigrunn has a layout with accommodation forward, with bunks for three and a well-equipped galley. The mess area is on the port side of the wheelhouse opposite the starboard side control position. There is a toilet and shower on board, and a heated oilskin store for wet gear.

The midships fishroom is divided into two areas and has capacity for twelve 380 litre tubs.
